If you are an owner of Compaq, if you wouldn't sell the stock at these levels, then you should be a buyer, lowering your cost basis in the process. Many are worried that this “PC” company will find its margins dried up and no where to turn.

Let me assure you that this is not the case with Compaq. They have two other businesses that will each throw off more profits in 2002 than the core PC business. If the services and storage businesses continue to grow at current rates, they will reap profits of $3.5 billion and $3 billion respectively vs. $3 billion for PC's.
