"Senseless Tragedy"? It's happened in Oregon, Mississippi,Arkansas, and now in nice neat little Littletown, Colo! I think what is "senseless" about it, is how many kids get to slip into such downward spirals and allowed to grow further into such self-hate and exile, and we just ignore them. You'd think that a group of kids banding together in a group called "the Trenchcoat Mafia" , might have sent up some redflags, somewhere along the line. To say this is senseless is a very nice sentiment, but when you think of how little $$ are allocated to recognizing and trying to prevent such young men from slipping into that suicidal kind of kamikaze hatred of those around them, then to call it senseless, is to once again invite this same thing to happen, once again, some more. There's a huge # of young men and women today in our society that grow into their adulthood with much sense of rage and futility, and nilism; and without having any control and led further into exile, the last desperate impotent act is Destroy themselves and others! You'd be surprised how an unhealthy clique mentality pervades our school-systems, that are completely underfunded to try and create the kind of outreach and support that could ultimately draw many of these alienated and hate-filled young exiles back into some kind of realization within themselves, and sense of purpose besides hate and self-hate. What is senseless, is to not see the crash, before the crash! My heart goes out to all in Littletown Colorado, and the Media Blitz to follow! *** And it is a rat-race, that's really the "senseless" part about the way mostly blindly , live our lives! More $$ for the War in Kosovo, Mr. President? Or more $$ for our Teachers ,councilors, and schools. I wonder where the majority of the taxes I paid, went this year? Can you say "CRUISE Missles?" And highways and infrastructure!!
definetly another sad day in a perfect world.
