Since you have seen fit to attack my friend Steven I will reply just this once.

The origins of the nations of peoples (I assume here that you are talking about ethnic groupings) probably all derive from African ancestors who migrated through Europe and Asia and over the land bridge into the New World. This stuff is pretty well documented and you can find it in any elementary anthropology text or encyclopedia. As to how humankind evolved exactly, I don't know because I wasn't there. But there is a considerable body of evidence to indicate that the lineage is several million years old. There is also significant evidence to indicate that human evolution is no different than evolution in animals. If you want a good text with voluminous references look at Ernst Mayr's brilliant books on speciation and evolution. This is much too complex a subject to deal with in a single post. If you are interested you may find any number of sources in the library.

My thoughts regarding Biblical lineages are non-existent. The books of the Bible are full of self-contradictory supposedly historical accounts, and were written well after the the events they purport to chronicle, so I would simply say that they represent ancient people's attempts to explain their existence. To use the Bible as an incontrovertible source about anything (including itself) is an error. That is not to say that at least part of the Bible isn't correct. I simply mean to point out that the Bible also contains significant incorrect information. I think of it as one of the myths that ancient people have created to rationalize their existence, and for that reason important. But there are other myths as well.

I find it very odd that you solicit my opinion on these matters. I have previously told you that I am a non-believer, and a skeptic by inclination. I am persuaded only by evidence, and never by blatant assertions.
