Well, you're right and you're not..... Msft is evaluated as a company in the technology sector and not as an investment company. So if they stop earning money on their core business and get the profit on the investment of their cash they should be evaluated as an investment company and not a technology/SW company. Well, I'm sure they far away from that but I hope you got my point. :-)

Btw to hold a lot of cash and not have any real use for it is not good business. Then is it better to give it out to the stockholders. I can assure you I can have use for it.... ;-)
