Spooner, PC Week Online April 20, 1999 3:20 PM ET CHICAGO -- Microworkz.com Computer Corp. is making a bid for the top spot in the growing "value desktop" PC market. The Lynwood, Wash., startup officially launched its low-priced Webzter PC line here at Comdex this week, announcing that 100,000 units are now shipping. The three models -- the Webzter Jr., Webzter and Webzter Sr. -- ship with National Semiconductor Inc.'s Cyrix 300MHz MII, 366MHz MII and Advanced Micro Devices Inc.'s 400MHz K6-2 400 processors, respectively, at prices ranging from $299 to $699.
