IMO, MOT is a least still a year behind RIM's current products. Motorola has failed over the last few years in this line of business (two-way). Even MOT's own executives have said this over the last few months. ( I have nothing against MOT ( other product lines)..I have a Motorola phone etc. & MOT invested in CIC etc.). MOT has spent bigtime in SE Asia & has lost a large % of their business there, over last few years. It seems they(less flexible etc) can not move as fast as RIM to change their products in this area. I have posted a lot, because I have been trying to find out how RIM's sales over last quarter are going...it's hard to find out ! ( I am concerned with coming quarter earnings..company says they are comfortable with earnings estimates. I think April to July will see vast - hugh increase in RIM's products sales; & over 100 to 130 new employees added). MOT's new plan with GEMS is their attempt to catch up, & will take a lot of time. Note : MOT was down $3.25us on April 19; & again down April 20 by a dollar. I still think Mitchell has other motives for posting here. I am just a small investor in RIM, & several friends ( non SI members) have also made small investments in RIM too.
