But they are wrong on this one. And they have proven their worthlessness by obvious distortions and transparently biased spin. With as many as 3M shares short and a tight float, insiders who continue to buy and refuse to sell, ABT in partnership with Japanese and European deals in the works and the FDA letter of warning for albumin use in hypovolemia I see the shorts as the ones to worry. If BTIM is hurt by the shorts it will be due to illegal manipulation and under-the-table deals on the floor. I do think that is a possibility but how long can that kind of subterfuge go on undetected? As for Asensio, I suspect his position is nothing near where it was 9 months ago. How do I know this? Well, he is no dummy. I'd bet you 'dollars to doughnuts' that he covered on the backs of those who sold it down the day after his 'research' reports were released. Funny how he has had little to nothing to say lately on the topic. Jim
