What wasn't mentioned in this article is that Netscape had their own software called Netscape LivePayment that they were pushing in conjunction with First Data. They pulled that software off the market after there were supposedly problems with reliability. It is thus encouraging to see them turn to Verifone for a reliable replacement after failing on their own. This is just another verification that Verifone is heading to domination of internet e-commerce just as they now dominate POS credit verification terminals.
