There are already electronic organizers capable of running Lotus, Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc. Adding a "drive" would enable people traveling to carry an organizer in their coat pocket with all kinds of Powerpoint presentations, etc., negating the necessity of lugging around a laptop that can, believe me, get stolen in airports.

Speaking as someone that owns one of those "organizers" (actually a handheld PC) I can assure you that if the drive is anywhere near affordable, I will buy one.

Handheld PCs are great! As you mentioned, I can carry mine in my pocket and have the functionality of a desktop computer right there with me at all times including Email, Web access, Contact Database, Word/Powerpoint/Excel, Mapping software, etc.

Storage is the only drawback. Additional storage for HPCs is hard to find and very expensive. Mine is currently configured with 12Mb and I am currently looking at upgrading it to 16Mb since I am not able to run all of the applications that I would like to on it at once.

You can imagine the value of an additional 40Mb removable disk to a guy like me.
