Have you ever looked into a broker that provides direct access to the exchanges? I've been watching these on-line brokerage threads for awhile now and I see people consistently complaining about poor executions, slow cancels and confirmations, trouble logging on to web sites, etc.
Trade reporting errors like this are not acceptable, they cost individual investors money and take focus away from your trading. You might want to look into some brokers that offer a direct access, non-browser based execution platform. Immediate reports on orders received, cancelled, and executed, less slippage of price, easier order entry, just to name a few.
Please don't take this as spam, I do work for a company that makes these technologies and have been in this business for the past five years. What's drawing my attention to people in your situation is talking with people (usually at trade shows) that use a traditional on-line broker and trade actively when that isn't really why these large brokerage houses got involved in on-line trading.
I hope this is of some value to you, please, if anyone wants to discuss executions, software, trading, whatever, let me know.
