The problem got resolved. He couldn't understand why the symbol was not on his 4 different quoting systems. When he called their central location in Toronto, they gave him a quote.

Thus, he was able to put in an order for me. Unfortunately, if I want to change the order, I have to wait a whole 10 minutes on the phone until someone answers because I can't do this online (since the system does not recognize the symbol!!))

Oh well.
