All,
Something has my curiosity. A few days ago someone posted a link to a Slotket adaptor or a motherboard that had provisions for a Socket 370 chip...with jumpers for "Cyrix"... indicating that Cyrix has a socket 370 chip in the works. Maybe close to release.
Now, as far as I know, since the picture had provisions for Intel chips as well, and we already know that BX chipset based boards have no provision for an off chip L2 cache...well...is it a pretty safe assumption that a chip using this slotket would have to have an on die
L2 cache?
So, using that logic it, would seem that Cyrix is very close to releasing a chip with an in die L2 cache. I also remember that this wasn't supposed to happen until .18u. If so Cyrix may be very close to releasing such a chip.

If so. I don't know why they would want to sell out to IBM at this time.

Jim
