Dan,

One piece of news that has been reported, but has been lost in the shuffle, is that serious crimes at schools have actually dropped every year for the last five years. It seems that there are more sensational crimes being committed, but that actual cases of day to day violence are actually on the decrease.

FWIW, I think gun control is a very good idea. Yesterdays tragedy was more about intolerance than anything else. JMHO.
