While I agree that the use of silver for radiography in man & beast is lower today and tomorrow than in prior times, you forget the many & increasing uses in our mechanical "friends". I suspect these uses may be driving the near daily surges in silver price as the "war" wages on and sorties stack one on top of another leading to heavy inspection levels. While magna-flux is used on parts, when assembled X-Rays are a must.
Just wait till the heilo's are in heavy use...
