E, did he give any explanation for the shooting? I was talking about it a little while ago with Ben, my older, who gets teased a lot because he is a little overweight. Ben was saying that he thought that people who did stuff like that were just driven insane by being tortured all the time. I can relate to that statement.

I was picked on a lot in junior high, which ended when we moved to another school district, just totally ended when I went to a new school. My husband was miserable from being picked on in school, from about the sixth grade until he graduated from high school. He used to get beat up a lot. My impression was that the kids who did the killing were outcasts, who decided to get revenge. But that's just what I saw in the newspapers. I haven't watched the tv about it.

I am sure there will be a public outcry to ban handguns. I wish that there would be a public outcry to teach children and teachers to be civil, and not to look the other way when children are being tortured with emotional abuse by other children.
