Tom: Some representative posts from x2 trial users on AOL: ================================================== Subj: My connect rate: 45333bps Date: Thu, 27 Feb 1997 From xxxxx
That is the highest baud rate I can get on the NYC access Number. I know it isn't my line, because i get smooth 28800 bps or 31200 bps most of the time.
i'd expect at least 52000bps.
X2 really does make a difference!

I was only able to connect bewteen 46K and 48K. I Live in Southern CA, and I was using the San Fran# and the 888 #. I have USR 56K External, and all code is up to date. Anyone Know when AOL will expand the 56K Trial?
Subj: Re: When are the upgrades going to be available? Date: Thu, 27 Feb 1997 19:45:50 EST From: vvvvvv
I've never connected at better than 28,800 with my 33.6, and that was very rare. But right now I am connected at 46,600 with my 56.6, and there is a noticable improvement in speed.

Re: Has anyone else from the VA suburbs had problems getting online at x2 speeds?
I live in rural Loudoun County, and get X2 into the 888# and the DC# everytime. I get 46666k about 90% of the time, 48000k about 9% of the time, and have had an occaissional 33333k and a 50k once. ================================================== Hope this is helpful.
