No...actually...you just pop in the symbol..and if you can't short it....it rejects it... now....that said...they DO have a site...called watleychat.com where they post the "shortable stocks" and the "shortable for this day only" stocks and the "sorry charlie...can't short this one...stocks" (look on the bottom of the page and hit "short list" or something like that... if you want something they do not have....desperately...I think...they will listen and try to get it...(assuming it is not on the sorry charlie list.... You know what is odd..? They let me short stocks on my Roth IRA which Dean Witter never allowed.....not sure if it was a gov't or D Witter rule....but I am taking advantage of it....since that is where the bulk of my bucks....reside....all Tax Free!! (gloat gloat...smile..) Mary
