My father died 12/5/83 and my mother 3/7/84. In 1966 my father loaned my mother $10,000 to pay the taxes on my grandmothers farm when she died. I had to pay the interest in taxes on that loan in '85. The IRS found that check but when I asked for the bank to look for the payback check the records were sealed.
