Tell you what, flick.

You tell me what you want to see on that Cinemascope player of yours, and what you feel like paying for it, and I'll consider underwriting the channel. Figure I'll have starved by the time it's profitable, even if no rights money need be paid up front. Cost of shooting a production is huge, which is why you really only see 'em on PBS. For complex productions, taking an existing feed or footage is still the key, and that's how Net exhibition is evolving.

Now here's a different tack. What would somebody pay for Net delivery of a heavyweight boxing match? The audience is huge, it could sell for far less than pay-per-view TV (without cannibalization), and the channel could be sponsored as well. Hey, GNET paid plenty for Holyfield's boxing trunks and nobody even saw the logo!
