EW, If lawsuits are behind us as implied by that news from AOL and major tier artists like alanis Morisette are releasing their music through MP3.com, than what's to stop other artist from teaming with Rioport.com . Plus DIMD countersued the RIAA and may very well win. Alanis's record company, Maverick is co- owned by TWX and Madonna. Meanwhile TWX, Universal, Bmg, Sony are backing a Pirate Proof format developed by IBM/Sony electronics. So who knows what's going on. This whole arena is getting crazy. But in the meantime, things like MP3.com and Rioport.com are picking up steam. I don't think Sony knows what to do yet. Creative is one step behind DIMD. There's plenty room for competition. I have to admit, the earnings were disappointing. But this game is no where near over. DIMD stock price may very well go down, but an announcement here and there and it could rise very easily. With all the confusion and players out there , there will be lots of announcements.(deals, new technology, new products). I'm just trying to let people know that it's not the end of the world. We owe Von Holidae or whatever his name is an apology. Because he did warn us. I guess he had inside information but couldn't reliquish the source for fear of getting in trouble. But without sources how can you believe anyone. But I think DIMD is going to fare well this next qtr. |
