I was in the 60's. I had long hair, put black eyeliner all over my eyelids, wore miniskirts, fishnet stockings, etc. I drank a lot of beer. But never, ever, ever, did it cross my mind to hurt or kill another human being. I was lucky enough to have parents that made it their business to know what I was doing and who I was doing it with. I've raised two responsible children. They were taught to respect all human life, even the ones who might be different. No matter what your faith, "do unto others" is still the way to go.
I cannot imagine what those families are going through. When that bastard shot and killed all those kids at the McDonalds out in San Yisidro (spelling?)years ago, my poor little boy was afraid to go into a McDonalds for a long, long time! Some of these children will never have another good night's sleep. It's the end of innocence, isn't it? Pray hard everybody. Pray that it doesn't happen to anybody else!! Harper |
