If I can find a modem we'll see what it can do. It will also be interesting to see how it works as ftp in both directions, but in fairness I wouldn't test that until a really odd hour so I could expect good throughput from/to the other end. Will also note compression.

Say, this ISP seems to have far better router tables too, about everywhere I head for looks up in a second. My other ISPs are terrible - icon.net is relatively OK but Netcom has turned into a disaster, it often just returned no DNS address until you tried a few times in a row.
