Western Digital meets 3Q forecasts
The disk drive maker reported a net loss of $61.3 million, or 68 cents a share, not counting one-time charges. That was on target with the prediction of First Call's survey of 12 analysts.

IBM reported earnings of $1.5 billion, or $1.55 a share, for the quarter ended Mar. 31. First Call's survey of 21 analysts predicted a profit of $1.41 a share, or 9.9 percent below the actual results.
