TPEG: Rande, You know I really like and respect you, right? And that I think that you have done a whole lot of good with your threads? Well, having said that, I gotta say that you really missed the boat with TPEG.
First of all, they are no longer a movie/film company; instead, they have moved toward becoming an internet/high-tech incubator in the mold of CMGI, WCAP and possibly SFE. They have a small holding with flowersandgifts.com and with Pacific Softworks along with an agreement that enables them to acquire up to about 30% of each at pre-IPO prices.
Second, Grosso and Jacobson are gone, in an amicable split that drastically cut the payroll expenses, resulted in the return of approximately 1M shares of common and still gives TPEG a small cut of the present, separate Grosso/Jacobson action.
Third, the name and CUSIP # will change next month to IATR, Internet And Technology Resources, to better reflect their new direction.
They have also been assembling quite an impressive new board.
Sorry to be so vague with the numbers, but I am leaving for New Orleans in a bit and don't have the time to look it all up. For more info, go to the Yahoo board, which is uncharacteristically sane and well-informed. A DD club has been formed there which is populated by uncommonly seasoned, mature investors. The new VP, Dr. Sandrew, is also doing some cutting-edge keep-the-investors-informed-via-the-net type things.
BTW, I'll still respect you in the morning. <g> You are so prolific, that its a wonder you are as accurate with your info as you are. |
