Help files and FAQ's. backslash the, help/freshstart.html to get to Home Page Note for Windows95 upgrade CD users: If you are using a Windows 95 upgrade CD, instead of a full version CD, then you will be asked for disk #1 of a qualifying Microsoft product. They are looking for Windows 3.x. If you have disk #1 of Windows 3.x, put it in the A: drive. It will search the disk looking for one certain file to verify that you do indeed own the required product and thus qualify for the upgrade. If you can't find your original Windows 3.x disks ;-), you can still do the install of Win95. You will need a floppy containing the above mentioned file which is WIN.CN_ (the last character must be the 'underline' symbol). If you are having trouble finding this file you can create one in Notepad. Open Notepad and from "File" menu choose "Save As" and simply save the blank file with the name "WIN.CN_" . Then transfer this file to a floppy (you can even put it on your boot disk or start-up disk if you like) and insert it when you are asked for disk #1 of "A Qualifying Microsoft Product".
