Cameron, I think this statement goes a bit over the top.

Iomega had revenues of 1.2 billion dollars this year, and they only sold what, three or four million Zip drives. Plus whatever number of Zip disks, Ditto drives, Jaz, etc.

If the Zip actually replaces the floppy, they'll sell somewhere between 50 and 80 million every year, and who knows how many disks. Even at sharply reduced prices, it doesn't take a math whiz to figure out tha t revenues would be spectacular.

But I am not saying that that's what is going to happen. I'm saying that there is a LOT of room in between 4 million Zips and 80 million. Iomega does not have to replace the floppy to succeed. It isn't a make or break situation.

I'd be perfectly happy with 20 million Zip drives sold per year.

Of course, this is just my opinion. I could be wrong.
