Invacare's Action Arrow Storm Series Power Wheelchairs to Include UQM(R) Motor as Standard Equipment
GOLDEN, Colo., April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Unique Mobility, Inc. (Amex: UQM) today announced that Invacare Corporation (Nasdaq: IVCR), the world's leading manufacturer of health care products for the non-acute care market, has began selling its Invacare Action Arrow(R) Storm Series power wheelchairs with the Gearless Brushless GB(TM) Motor, designed and manufactured by Unique Mobility,
as the standard motor package.
The Gearless Brushless(TM) Motor (patents applied for) is produced by
Unique's motor manufacturing subsidiary, Unique Power Products. "We are delighted with the success of this advanced motor in Invacare's application," said William G. Rankin, Unique's President and Chief Operating Officer. "Our production operation is fully on line to support this growing program."
The Gearless Brushless(TM) Motor, which represents cutting-edge motor
