I agree 100% in theory that the core of the problem in Colorado was lack of personal responsibility, parental guidance, etc. But, the question is--how do we limit the chances of this happening again. Can we force all parents to be good Moms & Dads? Can we lock up every kid that dresses strangely and listens to wierd music (that would probably be at least 10% of all teens)?

<<Will the lesson be learned? Not likely. >>

I agree. So, the only short-term solutions seem to be either control guns and weapons or let the slaughters continue. Everything else is either a long-term solution or a theory that sounds good but is not feasible.

I don't want to see our right to have guns taken away, but I can't think of any other solution to limiting violent crimes in the U.S. If anyone has alternative FEASIBLE solutions, let's please discuss them.
