Don tang, The market "experts" think cubes fair value is ~28-30 right now....cuz thats where its been trading the last few days. Laim answer i know! Now your fair value and "their" fair value are two different things. If things go as planned the next few months, i think cube is a bargain right here. The short story is betting on the loss of some VCD revenue to esst will be enough kill CUBE's bottom line. Most here are aware of this story and it's still up in the air as to "who got who first". Another hot topic of debate is DVD. Some say yeah others say nay. My view here is that everyone is comparing the launch of DVD to the 1983? launch of the CD player. I think technology moves way to fast these days to think its gunna take years for DVD to reach critical mass. The main reason for the CD's slow start was cost of the players and # of titles. Cube's got the bullets....Hollywood's got the guns, let the battle begin. How fast can they get these suckers under $X00's and how soon will it be standard equipment on a Dell, Cpq, or Gateway pc? CUBE's Ziva chips are the first to address these questions, but like "Herpe Herb's" pals are saying: Who'd want to buy a company 10 months before explosve growth is about to begin? Oh, btw Cube's Divicom unit does end-to-end digital video systems, settop boxes, and almost all the mpeg2 encoding from dbs to dvd......but who cares about that....those don't sound like growth areas (big big shit eatin grin) f
