Thanks for the article on tape being replaced by disk in some applications, actually a lot of them. Could be part of the reason why STK is suffering and EMC just the opposite.

Are you saying the next two quarter will be shut down? I don't buy it. companies
like yahoo say a big portion of their money is going to storage.


Another reason why Ruettgers and company have stated Y2K shouldn't bite them. If companies HAVE to add computer/storage resources to keep growing, they'll find a way. Also, like I've said before, storage is not a very likely place to find Y2K problems especially of customers buy new storage boxes, which are sure to have been made Y2K compliant.
