John, Now, computer hard drives are replacing tapes, and in video production, computer-generated images are being used to take the place of physical sets and, perhaps someday, even program hosts. Thanks for the article on tape being replaced by disk in some applications, actually a lot of them. Could be part of the reason why STK is suffering and EMC just the opposite. Are you saying the next two quarter will be shut down? I don't buy it. companies like yahoo say a big portion of their money is going to storage. Another reason why Ruettgers and company have stated Y2K shouldn't bite them. If companies HAVE to add computer/storage resources to keep growing, they'll find a way. Also, like I've said before, storage is not a very likely place to find Y2K problems especially of customers buy new storage boxes, which are sure to have been made Y2K compliant. Tony
