David, This may sound crazy to most...but not the Commission. Verisign has mentioned before...(I will have to go back and pull the release) that digital certificates need to except biometric authentication....as the certificates work quite well identifying locations...and protecting the integrity of the transaction, but can't qualify individuals as being authentic. The digital certificates protect from the "dummy" website, set up to intercept transactions. I just received a research report on Verisign.....Wow. 400 of the fourtune 500 use Verisign..(Verisign leases certificates for 1 year).....revenue for leased certificates projected at big bucks....big growth....viewed as a "must have" in order to do business on the net. Verisign sells for 77x sales........Yes, 77x sales. IDX sells for what?......2x sales. Combine all of the concerns about E-commerce not being able to function properly in an unsafe environment.........and I believe you can see how an incorporation of biometric authentication may just be a big issue for the E-commerce players going forward.......could be the buzz word for getting the whole shooting match going. Boy.....would that be a good day! bg
