Hello Croc, Thanks for the invitation. We live in the Toronto area. We went to Niagara last weekend to check out Swift canoes. They do spring and fall "roadshows" where they go to a different place each weekend where people can see the boats outside, paddle them and save a couple hundred dollars. We are looking to trade in our fibreglass family flatwater tripper (say that 10 ten times quickly) for something a little more versatile. ("We" is my wife and I). Great boats. I've been talking to them this week and it looks like we might do a deal on a Kevlar Kipawa this weekend. (They are in Ottawa May 1-2 on Mooney's Bay) We will likely do a one week trip in Temagami sometime early in May as soon as the ice is out and we see a nice stretch of warm weather before the black flies get to biting. This summer we're planning a 3 week trip in Quetico and we're thinking about a 10-14 day trip right after Labour day around the perimeter of Killarney Park. I guess I'll be running along the portages once I get that Kevlar! I've bookmarked this thread and will keep an eye out. (Maybe you can tell me in a PM how you found me?) Stuart.
