I must also note, however, that the "technically correct" spelling is "supersede", not "supercede". That is because the root of the verb is the Latin "sedere" (to sit), not "cedere" (to give up, etc.). I used to make that error all the time myself, until somebody pointed it out to me..

Sorry to correct you -- but this is the Grammar & Spelling Lab. :-)

As for the "rule" about not ending a sentence with a preposition, it is not even technically correct. It was the invention of an 18th (19th?) century schoolmaster, who, like all such, wanted English to conform to Latin rules.
