Thxs Tom, really need some direction here. She really wants me to handle this but I'm not to sure with my current track record. ;o)

I realize that I don't know much about the situation, but I tend to focus on my own finances. I will try to get more facts. She is 55, and she says the money is in a 401K. Some taxed some not?
Do you know if this could be rolled over to GSF pushing the tax liability out into the future? This I assume would leave her with paying income tax on the $12,000 annual.

It's also probably obvious that I could give her the money and just stuff the whole thing away, but I feel we are more responsible by keeping our incomes separate. Like the Royal Mounties, I'm always available for rescue.

For those that watch Nightline and Koppel, our community is the spot light tonight. "Lessons Learned". The 90-minute program will touch on various issues related to youth violence.
