I agree with you JFD that the market does not fully comprehend MSFT's real value. Especially considering its internet properties. But the point is that MSFT is expected to beat earnings estimates (it actually met some folk's whisper numbers) whereas IBM is a crapshoot. By IBM beating estimates and whisper numbers, they effectively removed many of the concerns (y2k lockdown, etc.) about the overall tech sector that MSFT alone, regardless of how much they were to beat estimates by, would not be able to accomplish. I am starting to expect that DELL may follow suit.

I completely agree that MSFT is undervalued.
