The analogy of the bus was excellent. It makes a lot of sense, especially with today's tech stock market. There are so many new stocks out there every other week, that it makes absolutely no sense to jump at a stock that is inappropriately pumped up.

Also I have found when I jump in on penny stocks, you can get hit harder because of the commissions paid on them. And if you buy one that is falsely pumped, you can really get killed.

Do your research, stick to your gut, and don't get on any old bus that goes by.

Also, I make it a point to read Business 2.0 and Red Herring magazine. They always have some good insights on what's new.

Barron's on Saturday's also helps.
