You drive in New York! Or do you just park?

I drove in New York once. But then I have driven in all the great gladiatorial tracks - Rome - the greatest of all - where vicious little Fiats buzz and swarm all round you, while a ballet dancing cop blows whistles: Paris, where they clip of your wing mirror at 150 km distracted by the new cigarette they are lighting with the old: Naples, where the cops hide themselves in coffee shops and all the traffic, including the municipal buses ignore red lights; Amsterdam where cyclists are like demi-Gods and have so many rights that they can drive your car into a canal if you don't give way: and London, with its slow but relentless grind and suffocating smog.
