playing devil's advocate, look what happened to CNET today
it closed yesterday at around 119.
i think the answer lies in how eager management seems to manipulate the stock price through rapid-splitting like the clowns at TGLO for example.
in the case of VERT, management could have announced a split anytime over the last few weeks but chose not to. i think that lends them some credibility and i don't think the split is priced in
