Great to have you back, Gus. Sure hope you can visit more often. Would intrude on your time again with an old topic. Partitioning. From Chris et al's report from the NAB. "They have a big advantage in tape partitioning (which is beneficial for inserting segments into programming). Sony does not have this capability" Isn't the Sony petasite( sp?) a 19mm helical scan format? For precise insert and erasure and speed, partitioning seems mighty valuable. Noticed the DST had a 50% greater throughput speed than the Sony. Continue to wonder whether AXC's partitioning technique can be transferred to other formats ...licensed to Sony etc. Still seems at least potentially very valuable to me.
