We're getting much closer. Thanks for your time. I'm a digital guy from way back (C.S. undergrad, built a self-designed PC using a Z-80 uP and wrote my own OS), so it's the analog/RF stuff I'm unclear on. Some questions: 1) are you saying that's there's always some sine-wave-like signal on the data lines (I'm guessing that that's what you mean by "Rambus is basicly transmitting a radio signal through the wires")? and 2) when the data signals get changed by the value that's in the SDRAM, what is changing, the voltage levels? the frequency of this radio-frequency signal? something else? What is the chipset detecting that's changed that tells it the underlying value has changed?
