<< Buyers around the world spent $158.7 billion on 92.2 million PCs last year,
Gartner Group estimates. Analysts expect the worldwide PC market will
grow to $253.7 billion by 2002, when they expect manufacturers will ship
158.2 million machines. Most of those customers are in the U.S. and
Europe, which accounted for 63 percent of world's PC production last year,
Gartner analysts say.>>

That means they are projecting a drop in ASP's from $1721 to $1603 over a three year period, a total decline of only 7%. That seems pretty unrealistic to me considering a certain percentage of those units will be the "el cheapo" machines. Any thoughts about this? Thanks again for continuing to uphold your place as link poster of the year<gg>. Aloha.
