I stopped over at the Raging Bull to see what the faithful were saying. As expected, they are blaming the messenger, and calling it a short conspiracy to manipulate the price. They are trying to figure out how to launch a class action against the reporters. they're also claiming that none of them thought that the 1/1/98 PR was a big deal, or made any promises. Of course I recall them screeching with pleasure, and laughing when the short sellers predicted that nothing substantial would ever come of it.

Isn't it interesting that no one ever says, hey, I'm glad they manipulated the stock in my favor!? If the trade goes in their favor they're geniuses, but if it goes against them it was manipulation.

Oh well, looks like it's one that got away.
