Does it really make sense to sell on "no news?" This isn't 3Com, Cisco or Cascade. With nothing happening here, I imagine I will wait. Sure, it's disappointing recently, but I still can't imagine Y2K being a farce. I recently called to update my company's software, (purchased in 1984), from a predominant VAX programmer in COBOL. Their response to my Y2K query??? "It isn't in the current release yet, but we are working on it, and if you obtain an annual support contract, we will provide the 'fix' at no charge!" The support is $600 per module, (times ten), per year. That covers a lot of different things, but I hope they budget it properly to cover "the Big '00." Personally, I think COBOL works well for an accounting package. Not everybody is going to rush out and by QuickBooks or Microsoft Money to run their businesses. And training along with a learning curve makes changing packages a royal nightmare! I'd rather "fix" the problem than replace it...maybe that's why New Englanders drive old cars.

I am tempted to agree with M.M. that most companies are heading for a fall if they put this topic off until the last minute. I have NO DOUBTS that there will be a wave of selling on this stock in the weeks to come, (even my Broker is pulling the trigger), and I see that money can be made elsewhere in the interim, but guys like me who work 80+ hours a week, (sorry HML04), can't time the market like the rest of you. I don't want to miss the run up of Zitel when it happens again. So, I am stuck with this for the time being while all the rest of you Baby-Boomers unload your risks for safe harbor...funny how age sets in on the "enlightened generation."
