In Dodge City, Kansas in the 1870's and 1880's everyone carried firearms and the crime rate was nil, no fool criminal would think to rob anyone if (s)he thought everyone was armed and ready to return fire... Dodge City was well known in its time and remembered today for its zero tolerance of criminals... just a thought..... GZ
