Isaac's Harbour Update 4/22 April 22, 1999 – The Power Company set the transformer today and hooked the building up as well. Core splitting will begin next week after Doug and the crew get the saw down to the site, install it, run the water source for coolant in and test the unit. The saw weighs in at 350 pounds and comes in a 4' x 4' x 2' re-useable shipping container. The Komatsu excavator will be used to lift the equipment out of the back of Doug's truck. The core drilling will continue tomorrow, there has been a bit of down time due to a wireline cable breaking. They had to pull drill stem to retrieve the barrel of the coring tool and splice the cable in the middle. The last 20 meters or so have been hard country rock with no veins or other indicators. This usually happens just before we hit another sections of quartz.
