I don't think Comcast is as committed to ATHM as AT&T is. There stands a chance that Comcast might defeat to RR for whatever strategic reason. No, it's not T that was a laggard. It was TCI before T bought them. T is more committed than Comcast to push for @Home because T has no else to go except @Home. If now MediaOne is in T's hand, that means MediaOne will become a part of TCI@Home. And T becomes a part owner of RR too. This move makes T not only a partial owner of RR, but also makes T the number 1 cable operator in the US.
In other world, this move reinforced @Home's dominant position.

Now, I am only concerned about what the regulators think out this.
