Yup. That's the question. Regulators always seem to appreciate a bit of horse-trading in these things. The RR/ATHM ownership issues that would arise in this deal are starting to sound a lot like a horse.

And then there's the issue of corporate ego. ATHM is largely owned by AT&T. AT&T has just thrown down the gauntlet to Comcast on the MediaOne merger. Factor in the Microsoft ownership interest in both RoadRunner and Comcast. All those things lead me to suspect that Comcast would be happy to switch allegiance to RoadRunner.
