Re: DVD as 15% of Q4 Rev or 15% of 97 Rev

If 300K already shipped to Samsung I guess CUBE's made their 15% of Q4 numbers already??? ;-)

At this rate, I'd have to think AB is working with an assumed total 97 revenue figure much larger than the street estimate of $400+ million.
I remember a post way back in July? (Joe Rizzo) indicating that Burke would be disappointed if they didn't do at least $500 million in 97.

The significance of the Koreans entering the market at the same time as the Japanese can not be underestimated. The Korean companies have traditionally trailed Japan. It is only because of CUBE that they are able to come to market so quickly. And if CUBE can allow the Samsungs to come in and undercut the Japanese prices, you can be sure Matsushita and Toshiba will quickly abandon their own chips to go with CUBE.

I remember AB talking about how without companies such as CUBE the consumer electronics companies will take a couple of years to enter a market. Now we see the fullfillment of that promise.

Thanks for the post John.
