John, If we took the messages on this board as a representative sample of what people are looking for, then I would agree that FORE shareholders are looking for a takeout. Game is a short term game and as simple as that.
However, the majority of FORE (71% and higher than industry avg) is held by institutions, and I'm pretty sure they don't play the acquisition momentum game. If they did, and consistently, then it would be the equivalent of hitting on 14 when the dealer has a 6 showing. Hedge fund managers would indeed play this game, but they wouldn't be counted in the 71% because they would play the game with options. The bottom line is that despite what we see on this board, the majority of FORE shareholders do care about the fundamentals and if they are trading in and out, its based on technical trends. FA says there's nothing wrong and the valuation is cheap compared to industry; TA says, buy it and buy it now. Good luck. Hope you play your cards right. |
