Oh, there is no doubt about the lobbying efforts. They are very powerful. But we must keep in mind that the farming lobby is one of the most powerful and it, more and more, is demanding this right and crop be returned to them.
An even more important thought to keep in mind. While the crop itself may be currently under prohibition, the products are already completely legal in USA. CGPR is obtaining raw crop in countries where it is legal, processing it in factories where it is legal to do so. It is then converting it into products that are legal here and importing those products.
What we have is a company that obtains and manufactures product "offshore" and goes to the largest consumer nation in the world, the USA and sells its product. We don't need to grow a product here to profit from it. Look at coffee and banana companies.
I am sure that in time others will become aware of this company/crop. Right now everything is dot.com. With so many "hot" stocks there, people are just not having to think a whole lot about where to put their money. That too will pass, perhaps sooner than many of us would like to think.
At that time people will start looking for companies where there is a historically profitable product, that has spectacular growth potential for the near and distant future and wella, they come to our peaceful little thread, wake us up, start bashing and hypeing and the game begins. ;-) We den be veddy, veddy happy.
